Professor of Law, University of South Carolina School of Law 1967-1971;
Visiting Professor of Law, University of Richmond 1968; General practice of law in
Fredericksburg, Va., 1971-1987; Circuit court judge 1987-2005. Executive
Committee of Judicial Conference of Virginia 1997-1999. Since retirement, continues
to sit as circuit judge in Virginia by designation of Virginia Supreme Court.
Certified mediator, member of The McCammon Group, Richmond, Virginia.
Faculty, National Trial Advocacy College since 2000. Faculty, Virginia College of
Trial Advocacy. Member, Boyd-Graves Conference since 2001. Resides with wife,
Susan Seay Ledbetter, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
