ANTHONY JOSEPH
Anthony Joseph ("A.J") is a shareholder in the law firm of Maynard, Cooper & Gale, P.C. in Birmingham, Alabama. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (B.S., 1975), Howard University (M.C.P., 1977), and the Cumberland School of Law of Samford University (J.D., 1980), where he was an Associate Justice on the Moot Court Board and a member of Phi Delta Phi. A.J. also serves as Adjunct Professor at the Cumberland School of Law. He is the past Vice President and member of the Executive Committee for the Alabama State Bar, an Alabama State Bar Commissioner, and also serves as a member of the Council of the Alabama State Bar's Criminal Justice Section. He currently serves as First Vice Chair of the ABA Criminal Justice Section, and is a member of its White Collar Crime Committee. A.J. is President-Elect of the Birmingham Bar Association. He was formerly employed as an Assistant District Attorney, a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and an Assistant United States Attorney. A.J. is listed in The Best Lawyers in America. His practice is concentrated in white collar criminal defense and general civil litigation.
